Science Outreach

Project Exploration: GWIS is partnering with Project Exploration, a wonderful non-profit group that does some amazing work in the Chicago school systems giving under-represented kids (especially minority females) an opportunity to engage in the STEM fields. If you are interested in in getting involved with Project exploration, fill out the form here or email us for more information.

The Science Club: Organizers are looking for mentors to work with middle school students.  Mentors lead or co-lead small groups of 2-4 middle school youth in weekly hands-on lab activities, encouraging scientific thinking, creativity, problem solving, and safety.  It will run at the TrueValue club (2950 W. 25th St.) on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5-6pm, starting the week of Monday, January 11, 2016.
More details about the program can be found on the Science Club website: http://scienceclub.northwestern.edu/.
